PACE AMBASSADOR GALLERY DOCENT

Gallery Docents are expected to stay in the gallery for the entirety of their shift. Their uniform should be clean, black collared shirt and pants. Shoes should be closed-toed. They are expected to wear their Ambassador stole through the entirety of their shift. Bringing a book or quiet activity is encouraged in case of a slow day.

ATTIRE:

Please wear all black. Black shirt, shoes, and pants. Simple jewelry is fine. You will wear a blue Ambassador Stole during this shift.

Join Curly and Laurey as their budding romance blossoms amidst the excitement of a brand-new state. But watch out for the brooding Jud Fry, who threatens to stir up trouble. With iconic songs like 'Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'' and 'People Will Say We're in Love,' this is a rip-roaring, heart-pounding celebration of love, community, and the pioneering spirit of the American West. If you love books, this is the event for you! Join us at the HOFF as we meet and read with fellow book lovers. There are no assigned readings or deadlines - you just read what you bring!

Readers of all types are welcome! Audiobook readers, please bring headphones. Tip: If you find outside noise distracting, like people entering the building, bring headphones!

There is time before and after the silent reading hour to converse or extend your reading time. Perhaps you’ll walk away with a suggestion or two for future reading.

DUTIES: 

You'll be the main greeter for the event, welcoming people into the space and giving them direction on where to go. You'll instruct them to remain quiet and respectful of the other readers. For patrons entering to not participate in the Silent Book Club, you'll request that they also remain quiet.

You'll give them instructions on how the evening will go:

6:30-7:00pm - People arrive, order drinks/food, share what they're reading 7:00-8:00pm - Quiet reading hour 8:00-8:30pm - Optional socializing, or just keep reading

Once the event concludes, you'll thank people for coming as they leave. Please take some time to ask people what they think of the event! Suggestions for next time, try to help us gauge interest in whether or not we do it again.

Step into the sweet world of chocolate artistry! In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn how to melt, temper, and mold chocolate into beautiful, delicious creations. From simple truffles to decorative shapes, you’ll leave with both the skills and the treats to impress friends, family… or just yourself. No prior experience required, just a love for chocolate!

PACE AMBASSADOR TEACHER'S AID

Become a vital part of our educational programming by serving as a PACE Ambassador Teacher’s Aid! In this role, you’ll support our teachers in creating a fun, engaging, and well-organized learning environment for students of all ages. Your contributions will help make each class a rewarding experience for both the students and the instructor.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Preparation: Assist with setting up materials, equipment, and supplies before class begins.Hands-On Assistance: Work closely with students to help them stay engaged and succeed in their activities.Instructor Support: Provide help to the teacher during lessons, addressing their needs so they can focus on teaching.Post-Class Cleanup: Aid in organizing and cleaning up after the session to ensure the space is ready for future use.
