As summer rolls on we’re rolling out our coolest new camp: “ADVENTURES IN NEW LANDS” Join us at PACE for 3 days of learning, fun, and creativity. Each day campers will learn about how technology is used to create art, look into the future of art and create their own artwork with these high-tech methods from across the globe, and make healthy cultural culinary creations. Students will look at 3D printing methods, digital painting, and robotics!
Campers will be divided into groups and rotate between different activities throughout the day. Bring your lunch and hungry minds!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! Instructors will provide you with instructions on how to best assist them during the class.
8:00 AM - 12:30 PM | AM Art or Culinary
8:00 AM | Arrival
8:15 AM - 8:30 PM | Student Drop Off
You will work directly with Jacy another PACE Team member in aiding with the drop-off procedures. Parents/guardians will pull into our south parking lot, and drop off the students, who you will help escort into the building.
8:30 AM - 11:15 PM | Class Assistance
Once all the students arrive, you will escort the students to the cubbies by the restrooms on the 3rd floor. Direct students to drop off their belongings and pick up their name badges and aprons. Once they're done, take them to the first classroom. From there, you will assist our instructor with whatever he may need throughout the morning.
11:15 AM | Escort Students to Bar/Cafe
After class, you will escort students down to the bar/cafe space area.
11:20 AM - 12:30 PM | Classroom Clean/Prep
After dropping off students for lunch, you will head back up to the classroom and help clean and prep the classroom for the next class.
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM | Lunch/Recess
11:00 AM | Arrival
Once you arrive, please head directly into the 1st-floor, bar/cafe kitchen and grab the collected lunch boxes. Please take them into the bar space and line them up nicely along the bar for students to arrive.
11:30 AM | Lunch Begins
As lunch begins, introduce yourself to the students. Ask questions about the class from the morning and further engage with them. Students are allowed to go out onto the patio to play with chalk or hang out. If students are out on the patio, please ensure either you or another team member is out there with them.
12:00ish | Recess Begins
As students finish their lunches, Adam and/or Jacy will be coming by to give further direction on where to go with the kiddos for recess!
12:30 PM - 1:00 PM | Lunch Clean Up
Once 12:30 PM hits, please assist in taking the students to their next classes for the day. After you've dropped them off, please head down to the cafe space and take their lunch boxes back to the refrigerator (this can be done before the recess activity ends if able). If there is time, we'd appreciate it if you could help us tidy up the cafe space by using the cleaning supplies in the kitchen and/or janitor's closet.
12:30 PM - 4:30 PM | PM Art or Culinary
12:30 PM | Arrival
As you arrive, please head directly to the pre-assigned classroom and introduce yourself to our instructor. You will be assisting them with any class set-up as needed and running the classroom. Students should be arriving soon after.
12:45 PM - 3:15 PM | Class Assistance
Assist in running the class. Once the class concludes, escort the students back down to the lobby for student pick-up.
3:15 PM - 4:30 PM | Classroom Clean-up
By this point in the day, the classrooms will need some major TLC. Please help the teacher in cleaning the classroom and restore it to its original state for the next day of classes.
ATTIRE: Please wear any clothes you are not afraid of getting dirty. Assuming we have PACE shirts available, these will be provided to you.
