ARTLot!

Join us as we break out of the box and take the arts outside on Friday, June 21. Bring the family for an evening of art in our parking lot for LIVE music, art activities, and more.

Spin Art - an activity where painters would set a canvas on a pottery wheel, lay down some paint then spin the canvas to spread it out. Volunteers would need to bring out the wheels, run extension cords, and set up a spot to keep paint and other supplies.
Pendulum Painting - an activity where painters would work in teams to swing a can of paint over a large canvas. Volunteers would need to assist in assembling this, under our team's instruction and direction.

Smashcar* - still TBD on if this is happening, but generally would consist of attendees hitting a vehicle with bats, crowbars, and bricks, then doing things like spray paint. Set-up volunteers would need to help set up barriers, drop cloths, and a station for safety supplies and tools. Volunteers running the event would need to assist in distributing eyewear, facilitating guests who do not have proper protection, and helping with clean-up afterward.

Spraypaint Wall - painters will show off their graffiti skills and practice spraying cans of paint against a wall. Set-up volunteers would need to assist in assembling the wall, under our team's instruction and direction. Volunteers running this event would assist in distributing paint, and aprons, and help with tear down after the event.

Dunk Tank - attendees can try their hand and knocking a person into the dunk tank. Volunteers will need to assist in filling the tank, and if assembly is required then doing so. Volunteers running the event would assist in handing out towels, and beanbags, and help with clean-up afterward.

Panning for Gold - attendees can collect a bit of dirt, then use the help of running water to search for precious stones and fool's gold. Volunteers would need to assist in assembling the water tower and water channel and filling the water tower under the direction of our team.
